Chapter 150 Dog
Chapter 150 Dog
Finally, the vector slowly closed the optical mirror for a moment, then opened it again, briefly changing the subject: "Disconnect."
The medical machine visibly relaxed, its movements so swift that it seemed afraid she might change her mind at any moment. It immediately shut down the full output of the sealing system and detached the data cable from the transmission port on her neck.
The lead medical machine explained, "We recommend pausing the read operation. The processor recovery rate is still rising; continuing to access the full file now carries too high a risk."
The vector sat there, knowing the other person was right.
But now her processor feels like it's been stuffed with half of Cybertron's ruins. Every record, with its own timeline and log, is like a broken, multi-stage detonation device; whoever touches it is doomed.
She took a deep breath and glanced at her empty left shoulder.
"Reattach the left arm first."
The medical machine immediately nodded.
"Okay. The interface is in good condition and has been maintained independently. We will first synchronize the neural circuits and then perform the outer armor snapping. There may be a slight delay in the process."
Yin Xiangli only half understood, and just as she was about to say "okay," Penglonglong grabbed her right arm and looked up: "Will it hurt?"
She glanced at him in confusion: "She was the one getting reconnected, not you."
Rumble: "Can't I even care?"
"You two can turn down your voices first and show some concern," Yin Xiang said with a laugh.
The two little ones shut up at the same time, for less than two seconds.
"You really remember my name?" Rumble asked softly.
Vector turned its head to look at him; he was blue and noisy. Based on the Miniature Transformers file that Soundwave had sent her a long time ago, she found his name:
"Boom!"
The optical mirror suddenly lit up with a loud rumble, and the red one next to it immediately leaned forward: "What about me?"
After a moment's thought, the vector expert said, "Let him in."
The door opened, and AZ stood outside, quietly watching her. His gaze moved from her newly reattached left arm to the chaotic screen beside her, then to the two small machines clinging to her body, and finally back to her face.
He had been waiting for this moment for so long.
"It was quieter than I expected," he said.
The vector looked at him: "Is there something wrong with your definition of quiet?"
AZ glanced at the medical warning lights that hadn't yet gone down and chuckled softly:
"There were two fewer alarms than I expected."
Even the vector was amused.
He entered the hibernation chamber and stood at the edge of the medical perimeter, always knowing when to approach and when not to.
Looking at him, Yin Xiang felt that his features hadn't changed much, but some traits were more pronounced: quiet, composed, and always seemed to know more than he could say.
"When did you arrive?" she asked.
"When your wake-up warning light just goes off."
The vector understood: "Were we blocked outside?"
AZ stated calmly, "The Chief Justice's awakening and the lockdown of the medical area are reasonable."
Yin Xiang looked at him and joked, "Why didn't you just call me directly?"
AZ said, "This is not the place to cause trouble."
He paused, then added in a low voice, "Besides, you'd be unhappy to receive such a call right after you woke up."
The vector stared at him for two seconds, then looked away: "Go on, speak."
AZ nodded. Everyone here knew that she needed complete, accurate, and immediately usable information.
Boom couldn't hold back any longer: "They're fighting!"
Confused: "This sentence contains no information whatsoever."
Rumble: "What do you mean, 'not'? The most important thing is that a fight broke out!"
Yin Xiang raised his hand and pressed his temple: "Tell me one by one."
Boom Boom immediately opened his mouth, and Confusion quickly covered it.
AZ continued:
"The archived records you see are a compressed version. Many details were cut from the public archives, and some were deliberately left blank. Simply put, after the collapse of the Parliament, the conflict between Megatron and Optimus Prime was no longer suppressed by any system. The Decepticons and Autobots officially split, and then came the Civil War."
The vector had just read the record, but what could be heard from the live machine mouth was a different story.
Confused, she continued, "At first, there was still a chance to talk."
He let out a cold laugh: "I stopped thinking that way later."
AZ said, "After the AllSpark left Cybertron, things spiraled out of control. Energy depleted, cities relocated, and the battle lines stretched. The judicial system moved to Crystal City, and it's operating at a minimum level thanks to the system you left behind."
The vector remained silent: "Minimum requirement?"
AZ shrugged: "At least it didn't completely turn into a scrap metal brawl registry."
Vector: "This really didn't comfort me at all."
"Yes," AZ said, "but it's still there."
Fortunately, the judicial center is still intact.
Confused added from the side, "Many planes have been here."
He nodded vigorously: "A lot."
"They left records, messages, battle reports, and other random stuff," said Miluan. "Sometimes it was for official filing, sometimes it was just... they couldn't take it anymore and came over to sit for a while."
The rumbling voice lowered: "You won't answer anyway."
She saw it too, as the optical lens lowered. Those visitation logs, without any replies, all the words remained sealed in the archive system.
"And sound waves?" she asked.
The rumbling and the confusion stopped.
Yin Vector still remembers the outburst he had over this incident, the anger and pain he felt. He even wanted to press down on Yin Vector's breastplate and shovel it into the ground along with Yin Vector's composure, to make Yin Vector see what he was doing.
Confused, she whispered, "The Retribution Number."
"He went with Megatron," Boom boomed.
This wasn't surprising. Vector looked at them and asked, "Then why are you here?"
Rumble opened his mouth, then closed it again. Confusion spoke for him: "Because he's different now."
Rumble finally spoke up: "He's not listening."
Mini Kong tightened its grip on her outer armor.
"It's the kind of thing... he hears what you say, but he won't leave anything behind."
Yin Xiang slowly retracted his left hand, wanting to say something, but suddenly stopped when his gaze lowered.
Near the side of the neck, on the outer layer of the flame capsule on the chest, hung an old designer necklace.
Its edges were worn, and the metal surface bore the marks of early impacts and high-temperature burns. The name tag was secured by a thin chain below her neck, quietly affixed to her dark purple outer armor.
Yin Xiang stretched out his left hand, his fingertips touching the nameplate, and gently turned it over.
The back is engraved with an old number—D-16.
She remembered this thing. The house was half-collapsed then, littered with shards of metal, dust, and broken beams. She found this old nameplate in the ruins and handed it back to Megatron, who was still Megatron at the time.
She asked him what D-16 meant, but he didn't answer.
The vector stared at that line of marks for a long time.
Why leave this on her?
What was he trying to say at that moment?
The vector frowned, and the brain module popped up a question that often arose when facing a genius with overwhelming power—
What's wrong with Megatron for the past four million years that would make him hang something like this here?
Just as the words were about to come out, the shadow by the door suddenly shifted slightly.
A dark shadow slipped in from under the door, quietly traversing the corners hidden from the medical lights, bypassing two medical machines, and finally arriving next to the vector hibernation pod.
Then lie down naturally.
The vector looked down and saw a mechanical dog at its feet.
She paused for a moment, then asked, "When did you come in?"
The robotic dog said, "Just now."
Vector: "...You can talk too?"
Robotic dog: "Yes."
Vector: "Why didn't you say so before?"
Mechanical dog: "No need."
Vector: "Is it necessary now?"
Mechanical dog: "Yes."
For a moment, the vector didn't know which thing to deal with first.
She had just learned that Cybertron had been fighting for nearly four million years, and had just reattached a left arm that would automatically return to its original position. Now she also had to accept that the mechanical dog had always been able to talk.
"You didn't follow the sound waves either," she said.
The mechanical dog lay down at her feet and said, "Mmm."
Why?
Rumble lowered its head, its gaze shifting away in confusion. The mechanical dog spoke, its voice flat and devoid of inflection.
He doesn't need a dog.
His voice was very soft, as if that could hide the accusations and grievances he couldn't suppress.
The vector processor was briefly delayed by this statement.
The robotic dog continued, "We don't want to be just tools either."
"The bat died later," someone whispered.
She looked up. She still remembered that glib, somewhat tactless mechanical bat.
Later, when dealing with legal matters, she learned from more information that the guy was shrewd, greedy, always had three backup plans for himself, and knew exactly which words would bring him the most benefits.
Having too many escape routes can sometimes become a noose.
"He thought he could get something from all sides," said the confused woman.
"In the end, neither side caught him," Longlonglong added.
The vector remained silent, and the screen in the hibernation chamber still displayed a large number of unread records.
The mechanical dog suddenly raised its head.
"So I'll be your dog."
Yin Vector slowly turned his head to look at him, wondering if he had just experienced information overload again.
"What?"
The robotic dog looked at her intently.
"I want to be your dog."
A thunderous roar erupted: "You can't steal it!"
Confused and shocked, she looked at him: "Is this about what we're robbing?"
Rumble: "Of course!"
Confusion: "What are you?"
It got stuck with a loud rumble.
The vector raised its right hand and covered its optical lens.
Well, now another mechanical dog has voluntarily applied to transfer its affiliation.
"Wait a minute," she said, "Why did I catch my arm first, then the dog, when I woke up?"
AZ, who was standing to the side, finally couldn't help but turn her gaze away slightly.
Confused, she saw it: "You're laughing?"
AZ calmly replied, "No."
Rumble: "You're laughing."
AZ: "Insufficient evidence."
Yin Zong looked at him and said, "Don't talk like the judicial central government."
AZ looked back at her: "What you left behind has a profound impact."
The mechanical dog remained lying at her feet, quietly waiting for an answer, and for some reason, Vector felt that he was looking on expectantly.
Finally, the vector sighed and gently stroked the top of the mechanical dog's head.
"Okay," she said, "but let's make it clear first, I'm not responsible for walking the animals."
Robotic dog: "I can walk by myself."
Rumble: "What kind of dog is that!"
Confusion: "Shut up."
The vectoring force moved back to the edge of the hibernation pod, and the noise from the processor finally seemed to quiet down a bit.
The brief moment of relaxation was interrupted by AZ.
"There's one more thing," he said.
The vector rises to the top.
"The Ark sent back a new synchronization message today," AZ said. "Optimus Prime and the others confirmed the existence of the Quintessons in Arquitron. The Quintessons claim to be the creators of Cybertron."
The air suddenly turned cold.
Yin Xiang slowly sat up straight, and the bluish-green markings on his left arm lit up silently for a moment.
"What did he say?"
AZ looked at her.
"Optimus Prime used 'perhaps' in his report."
Yin Vector stared at him, and after a few seconds, let out a cold sneer.
"Was his brain module damaged by the stench of Aquitron?"
She looked up at the sync log on the screen. The fourth day passed silently as she read the messages, and the fifth day arrived.
"Get the report out," she said.
AZ immediately presented her with the synchronized Aquitron file.
Looking at the top few lines of text, the blue-green optical lens felt cold.
On the fifth day after the Ark arrived in Aquitron, Aquitron was about to welcome...
—Cybertron's Chief Justice, who has been missing for nearly four million years, has finally fully awakened, and her wrath.
