The morning classes passed quickly, and thanks to Yayoi-san and Shizu, our lunch break turned into another feast.

Before heading off to report to Hayashi-sensei as usual, I decided to check on Yuika-senpai. After all, we were quite spirited during our time together for her first experience. Even though she kept reassuring me not to worry in the messages we exchanged since parting on Saturday, the worrywart in me couldn't calm down without checking on her thoroughly.

“Onoda-kun, really. The soreness has calmed down, and I only feel hot whenever I think of you,” Yuika-senpai whispered, trying to hide her blush.

Next to her, Minori-senpai was glaring at me, but the moment I met her gaze, it softened. She sighed, “You’re such a beast, Onoda-kun. But it’s fine. I won’t be mad at you. Yuika explained everything to me.”

“I see. I apologize for lying back then, senpai. I didn’t mean to–”

Before finishing my sentence, she pulled me on my collar and leaned in, “I may not be mad at you but I won’t forgive you for doing it with Yuika first. Didn’t I tell you to start with me?”

As she probably didn’t want to hear my reply, Minori-senpai let go of my collar and pushed on my chest.

Her glare was then restored as though she was hinting at me not to mention what she just told me to anyone.

Yuika-senpai blinked a few times and tilted her head, wondering what that was about.

And so, I could only say, I got my just deserts from Minori-senpai for being a pervert.

She giggled and pinched my cheeks before saying, “Then you must stay true to your promise of taking care of me, Onoda-kun. That way, Minori won’t be mad at you. Oh. Haru and the others will also be mad at you if... you’re naughty”

Naughty, huh? Was her vocabulary always like this? But well, she’s adorable this way.

I glanced at Haruko, Edel, Mina, and Himeko, who were clearly listening to us. They all had smiles on their faces but each smile had a different meaning.

I could only interpret that as their thoughts on this matter.

“You know me, senpai. I’ll never go back on my word.” I pushed in a kiss which Yuika-senpai wholeheartedly welcomed.

Tickled by my teasing, Shio lightly smacked me on the back of the head before running her fingers through my hair. "Don’t worry. I’ll hide this along with those other light novels you’ve seen me reading before."

"That's good then. I don't want my Shio getting scolded by Hayashi-sensei."

"This student, don't you think she'll be more furious if she finds out about us?" Shio giggled as she began stroking my hair. The book was still in her hand but her attention was already stolen by me.

"Oh. You're right but we won't be caught by her. And even if she does eventually, leave it to me."

"You and your smooth talk. 'Leave it to you' means... she'll eventually turn out like me, huh?"

"I never said that."

"Yeah. But your eyes and expression did." Shio laughed, poking at my cheek. "Anyway, do you have enough time to relax with me? Knowing you, you still have three offices to visit."

"Yeah, but it'll be fine. Ryouko-san has a PE class today. I’ll get to her office before she leaves for it. As for Orimura-sensei... hmm, let's see. I should probably prepare for her scolding."

"Did you do something to upset her again?"

"Not really. That's her default mode. You see, she tends to scold me first before showing any affection."

Recalling her face last Saturday when she pulled me to the back of the Swimming Area, she’d probably be missing me by now. Well, maybe it'll be different this time. We’ll see.

In any case, my attention was fully focused on Shio. Being in her arms and hearing her voice felt like a gentle lullaby to my soul. Her sweet scent filled the room, and I couldn't help but get lost in it.

After putting down the book, Shio pulled me down so we could lie on the couch together. She rested my head on her chest and pampered me like a wife would for a tired husband after a long day of work.

We didn't get too intimate, but the comfort was so soothing that I almost fell asleep. Shio leaned in to kiss me, and from there, the pampering went both ways.

While doing so, we also talked about her role in the upcoming Cultural Festival. As the advisor for our class, she would be busy supervising our preparations.

For this week, we will only have the 7th period dedicated to the Cultural Festival preparation, but starting Monday next week, it will take up half our school day.

A few minutes later, I stepped out of Shio's room to catch Ryouko-san, who was just about to leave for the gymnasium.
