Chapter 1081 1081: Grey's Domain (1)
Instantly, a thousand blood spears shifted and appeared in the air around Gustav, who was beginning to float above the ground with his hands spread wide.
'Wait… a thousand? How much blood did we spill?'
Even though his mind was in turmoil, it didn't stop his body from shifting slightly as Ki coursed through his frame, augmenting both himself and his own sword.
"Hang on… doesn't that mean you have four affinities now? Woah!"
"Die," Gustav snarked as the spears launched forward with a lightning speed that made the sound barrier want to give way for a moment.
Grey was unfazed.
Bleeding yet still refusing to fall, he bolted to meet the thousand projectiles.
Ki flooded his blade, making it glow a bright yellow for a second before he swung it forward, unleashing a colossal ki slash that rippled out, colliding with the spears and destroying half of them at once.
For the remaining five hundred, Ki wrapped around his body and sword in a crushing yellow wave as he charged toward them.
While speeding toward the spears, he was spinning repeatedly, making him look like a humanoid tornado and a tsunami all in one.
With a powerful thrust of his weapon, a massive wave burst outward, crashing into the remaining five hundred blood spears and causing them to shatter immediately.
Grey was now free-falling, only to see the air shifting and coalescing into a massive blood fist that smashed into his body with heavy weight, sending him blasting into the ground almost immediately.
A huge chunk of rocks flew into the air.
'Damn it! Why am I the only one getting smashed into the ground?'
There was no time to muse over the fact as the fluid on the ground snaked toward him with lightning speed.
Feeling the ground reverberate, the warrior mage realized that there was something terribly wrong about it.
Hence, he quickly launched into the air.
At that exact moment, the crimson pool burrowed where he lay before, causing him to briefly glance down for a second.
The next second, he could hear a sharp whistle hurtling his way with rapid velocity.
Spinning back around, his hand snapped in place as his sword received the brunt of a dozen metal spears that crashed into him with violent force.
Before he could go flying away, a ki platform appeared behind his back.
He smashed into the barrier, which then proceeded to launch him forward with breakneck speed like a trampoline.
Within a blink, his sword lashed toward the demon's face with blazing speed.
CLANG!
A wing shot in place, absorbing the impact of the sword strike.
But the warrior mage didn't let that deter him, even as the second wing was now hurtling his way from the side.
'Sigh… I didn't realise how hard it was to fight without my magical affinities. Left to rely on only ki, it's hard.'
A hundred ki swords burst from the side, smashing into the wing and sending it to the side for a moment before Grey let go of the sword, which suddenly vanished in a rain of sparks.
His hand coiled backward as an immense amount of ki wrapped around the fist, which he drove forward, smashing it into the wing in front of his face.
The force of the blow sent the demon sliding backward for a moment.
But Grey wasn't done.
Five hundred ki spears appeared behind his back and dashed toward the demon with rocketing speed.
Metal constructs also lunged forward, colliding with the ki projectiles in a raining shower of explosions.
Gustav wasn't finished yet either.
Lifting his hands into the sky, he swung them back down as a massive lightning pillar screamed down at the warrior mage.
Visual ki wrapped around the Supreme Magus in the form of a yellow wave, allowing him to dart to the side so the energy column could crash into the ground with explosive force.
Sparks of electricity scattered in all directions as the earth caved in from the impact.
Taking advantage of the brief distraction from the evasion, Gustav capitalized by teleporting right in front of the warrior mage faster than he could react.
A fierce punch crashed into Grey's face.
That wasn't all—the fluid that spilled from his mouth suddenly reshaped into a bullet-like projectile and slammed into his shoulder, sending him blasting backward with a new tear in his flesh.
Before he could shatter the ground with his weight, a ki platform appeared beneath his body, breaking his fall immediately.
But that didn't make it any less agonising as white-hot pain ravaged his frame with immense force.
Currently, he wanted to just rip his skin off with how battered and hurting he felt.
But time to think about that wasn't available as a huge blood hammer could be seen hurtling his way.
He couldn't dodge in time.
His hands shot upward with Ki flooding his palms, which he used to halt the hammer, stopping it dead in its tracks.
The ground split open beneath the warrior mage from the sheer force of the block.
Pushing the hammer to the side with gritted teeth, Grey managed to launch himself off the dirt and zip to the flank.
Just in time, as an enormous lightning arrow crashed into that exact spot.
Panting exhaustedly, Grey shot to his feet, and instantly, his sword flashed into his grasp.
"Ah… I'm really exhausted."
Gustav paused his assault as he cocked an eyebrow, looking down at his son from his vantage point.
"I really deserve a good vacation with my darling Scarlet after all this is done."
The next second, the tap on the sword was turned on and immediately, the stored mana he had kept inside the blade flooded into his body within a second—flourishing his mana core and allowing it to brim with immense energy.
After the sword had done that, it simply vanished in a rain of sparks as Grey's gaze tightened.
He wiped the crimson trailing down his mouth to see Gustav descending from the sky.
The demon landed smoothly.
"Sigh…" Grey heaved as he lifted his hand into the air.
Then he locked his index and middle finger in front of his mouth, looking right at the enemy who stared back amusedly.
"Magus Dominion: Cosmic Sovereignty."
BOOOOM!
