Claude stared at Li Wei for a long while, growing more and more puzzled.

He asked, "Have you really never studied Space Magic before?"

Li Wei nodded. "No, I haven’t."

"I’m not even very familiar with the Magic Knowledge related to it."

Claude muttered to himself, "How strange. What in the world is going on here?"

’To learn Space Magic so quickly without any astonishing talent for it?’

He pondered for a long while before looking at Li Wei again.

"Could it be you have a hidden Extraordinary Trait for the Space System?"

Li Wei broke into a nervous sweat. ’A hidden Extraordinary Trait? Yeah, right.’

’My skill with Magic is purely the result of grinding, of brute-forcing my proficiency level up.’

He glanced at the transparent words that appeared in his vision.

To Claude, only a short hour had passed.

But in his dreams, Li Wei had already cultivated the Space Exchange Technique with intense focus over a thousand times.

Each session of Cultivation accumulated a tiny bit of experience, allowing him to reach his current level.

Li Wei said, "Thank you for the gift of the Space Magic, Senior. May I ask how much the Space Ripping Skill costs? I’d like to go back and get the funds ready."

Claude stroked his beard and smiled. "I’ll give you a few tests. If you can pass them all, I’ll give you the Space Ripping Skill for free."

Li Wei’s eyes lit up. "Senior, are you serious?"

Claude chuckled. "What? You don’t trust me?"

"Back in my day, I was the Space Tower’s greatest... ahem, never mind. Listen closely, here is your first test."

Claude said, looking at Li Wei seriously.

Li Wei glanced at him, his mind latching onto that one word: ’greatest.’

’What is this old man’s identity, really?’ he wondered.

’Greatest what?’

’The greatest powerhouse? The greatest scholar?’

’Or was he just full of hot air?’

Claude reached into the Space Pocket at his side and rummaged around for a moment.

He pulled out a Magic Scroll and handed it to Li Wei.

Li Wei looked at it in confusion. "What’s this?"

Claude said, "This is the first test. Complete three of them, and I’ll let you learn the Space Ripping Skill for free."

"You’ll find out when you open it."

As Claude spoke, the corners of his mouth twitched upward, hinting at some mischievous plan.

Li Wei, not noticing the subtle expression, opened the Magic Scroll as instructed.

WHOOSH!

A silver light enveloped Li Wei, and he vanished from the room.

The instant he felt the spatial fluctuation, Li Wei knew the object in his hand was a Teleportation Scroll.

He braced himself to be teleported somewhere.

However, after the Teleportation Scroll activated, his vision went black and stayed that way.

Suddenly, a flash of silver light streaked past his eyes.

Li Wei’s mind went blank for a second before he belatedly realized his predicament.

"Fuck!"

Li Wei couldn’t help but curse.

This was a Teleportation Scroll without complete spatial coordinates.

He was now stuck in the void between spaces, unable to leave.

The Teleportation Scroll was missing its destination coordinates.

Li Wei was dumbfounded.

’What the hell is this old man playing at? Is he trying to kill me?’

The Space Teleportation Scroll in his hand was waiting for him to input the spatial coordinates.

Only then would it complete the Space Teleportation.

But Li Wei had no idea what spatial coordinates to enter.

The spatial coordinates for his Space Exchange Technique used a coordinate system based on his own position as the origin.

Now that he was in a spatial rift, a coordinate system with himself as the origin was useless.

Not a relative one.

Li Wei’s scalp tingled with dread. He had the distinct feeling he’d been set up.

Claude, meanwhile, had found a chair, and was now casually munching on melon seeds while he watched Li Wei try to figure a way out.

A wide grin stretched across his face; he hoped to see this trial stimulate Li Wei’s hidden potential.

If Li Wei truly possessed some kind of latent potential, an environment like this was the most likely to draw it out.

After a brief flash of anger, Li Wei quickly calmed himself and began searching for a solution.

His mind raced.

The light from the Space Teleportation Scroll in his hand was gradually fading, its Power being depleted.

Li Wei didn’t have much time.

The realization that he was on a timer made Li Wei feel a surge of anxiety.

He looked at the item in his hand and suddenly, an idea struck him.

Li Wei had an idea.

He took an item from his Spatial Ring and cast the Space Exchange Technique.

He chose a random spatial coordinate.

Once, twice, three times... The Casting failed.

The spatial coordinates were outside the range of his Space Exchange Technique.

Currently, Li Wei could only exchange items within a five-meter radius.

If he successfully exchanged an item, it would mean he had targeted coordinates within five meters of himself.

Then, Li Wei could obtain a real-space coordinate.

And use it to return to the room.

Claude’s intention had been to force Li Wei to use his Space Perception Ability.

To awaken his instincts.

He never expected Li Wei to resort to what was essentially rolling dice to find the answer.

The method was crude, but it was effective.

After more attempts than he could count, the item in Li Wei’s hand finally vanished, replaced by a plate of melon seeds.

Claude reached for his melon seeds, but his hand suddenly touched a sticky pile of something.

The sensation made him jump.

"What the hell is this stuff?"

He looked closely and realized it was the flesh of some Magic Beast.

For a moment, he was completely bewildered.

’What just happened?’

’How did my melon seeds turn into a pile of raw meat?’

’Did the world just glitch?’

Then, sensing a faint spatial fluctuation, Claude’s eyes widened in realization. He hurriedly stood up and moved away.

Li Wei’s figure appeared on the table, holding a plate of melon seeds.

Claude’s eye twitched as he looked at the melon seeds in Li Wei’s hand.

This was not at all how he had imagined things would go.

The test had been a complete failure. It hadn’t stimulated Li Wei to awaken his talent for Space Perception.

Li Wei placed the melon seeds on the table and collected the Poisonous Scorpion Beast Meat.

A moment ago, he had been furious about Claude’s outrageous test, which had nearly cost him his life.

Now that he was back, all Li Wei wanted to know was what the other two tests were.

Li Wei looked at Claude and said, "I passed, right?"

Claude nodded helplessly.
