Lu Keming's gaze drifted aimlessly to his and Yu Youyou's clasped hands, his murmured voice carried away by the sea breeze.

He held their hands like that until Yu Youyou's arm started to ache, but Lu Keming was still lost in thought. Yu Youyou simply pulled her hand away from Lu Keming's.

She ruffled Lu Keming's hair with her hand, then moved her hand from his hair to his cheek, poking his soft cheeks with her fingers and pinching his chin.

Lu Keming snapped out of his daze, grabbed Yu Youyou's wandering hands, and gently kissed them.

After kissing her hands, he continued to kiss upwards with lingering affection, finally reaching the fish-like patterns on her arm.

He stared at the fish pattern, then suddenly opened his mouth and bit into the soft flesh with his sharp teeth.

A slight pain came, but Yu Youyou did not break free. She gently stroked his back, letting him bite her.

After a long while, Lu Keming released his grip, leaving a shallow bite mark on Yu Youyou's fair arm.

The next moment, he pressed his cheek against it again, rubbing it there as if addicted.

His hair brushed against Yu Youyou's skin with his movements, sending a ticklish sensation upwards and raising goosebumps all over Yu Youyou's arm.

Yu Youyou pulled her arm away, trying to withdraw her hand in frustration. But Lu Keming held it tightly, his hot breath falling on her skin like a scorching flame, burning Yu Youyou.

Before Yu Youyou's skin crawled with goosebumps, Lu Keming finally stopped. He closed his eyes, the veins on his neck bulging, and forced himself to release Yu Youyou's hand.

He opened his mouth as if to say something, but a sudden knock on the door interrupted him.

Fang Ziang's excited voice rang out from outside the door:

"Yu Youyou! We've reached the coordinates you mentioned. Are you sure the Dark Star itself is here?"

Lu Keming's gaze sharpened slightly as he looked up at Yu Youyou. The sunlight blurred her face, making it impossible for him to see her expression.

Fang Ziang's voice continued incessantly from the doorway: "There's nothing but the sea here, you can't see anything at all."

Lu Keming lowered his eyes, looking at the two shadows close together on the ground. A faint smile appeared on his lips, and his voice was dazed:

"Have we arrived already?"

"That was fast," he murmured, not asking any further questions, as if he had already exhausted all the things he wanted to know.

He stood up, gently brushed her hair aside, and gave her his usual smile: "I'll go take a look."

After saying that, Lu Keming straightened his clothes and turned to walk towards the door. But he stopped before turning the doorknob.

He had his back to Yu Youyou, his head bowed, seemingly lost in thought.

After a long while, he turned his head again and looked at Yu Youyou behind him.

Yu Youyou had already stood up. She stood by the window, the fluttering white gauze curtains constantly obscuring her figure, making her appear elusive and unpredictable.

Lu Keming lowered his eyes, then suddenly turned around and strode towards her.

He stopped in front of Yu Youyou, and before she could say anything, he suddenly bent down, cupped her face in his hands, and kissed her deeply.

Yu Youyou's breath was suddenly taken away. Her hands were on Lu Keming's chest. The feeling of suffocation made her push Lu Keming away, but she stopped after feeling Lu Keming's body trembling.
