Thorne walked alone down the street. Although it wasn't as bustling as Berlin, it was still very lively. The Kingdom of the Rhine had a strong economy and a highly developed industry, with its automobile manufacturing industry being renowned worldwide.

After finding a place to sit down, Thorne was surprised to find that there was also a KFC branch here. He didn't expect Hammer to be so capable. He had originally thought that it would be good if he could open a few stores in Frankfurt, but he didn't expect that they had opened stores in other cities.

After sitting for a while, Fred and Thomas returned. "Hey guys, you've finished watching? How was it?"

"It's fine, it's fine." Fred gave an awkward smile and brushed it off.

"By the way, Fred, Thomas, how long have you been in the army? What do your families do?" Thorne suddenly asked. Fred's marksmanship and physical fitness were excellent. During the exercise, he held his breath underwater for at least two minutes, and Thorne thought Fred had suffocated.

Thomas is calm, meticulous, and reliable in handling matters.

“I’ve been in the army for two years. My father used to be a hunter, and I’ve been hunting with him since I was very young,” Fred said, taking a sip of water.

"Me too, it's been more than two years. My father is a factory worker and my mother is a typist."

"I see." Thorne stroked his chin, then looked at Fred and said, "Fred, have you ever heard of special operations?"

"Special operations?"

“Like that exercise, it was a special operation conducted by specially organized, trained, and equipped special forces, using special methods and means. It was stealthy, sudden, and swift. We used every available means and method to ensure victory in the war and the completion of the mission,” Thorne explained to Fred. “I have an idea: to form a special forces unit. You are very talented, and I need someone I can trust to command it.”

Thorne's idea was to form a special forces unit led by Fred, which didn't need to be too large, so that it would be convenient for them to carry out operations in the future.

"Thank you for your guidance, Your Highness!"

Fred was thrilled after hearing this. Wow, a special forces unit! That sounds so high-level. It would be an honor for him to command such a unit.

"And Thomas, you have a calm and steady personality. We can't do without a reliable intelligence chief."

Thorne patted him on the shoulder. These three were his most trusted comrades, having fought alongside him on the battlefield.

Just as the three were chatting quietly, a young man walked over. He listened for a while and became increasingly convinced that these people were not ordinary, so he decided to approach them and strike up a conversation.

"Ladies and gentlemen, may I sit in this empty seat?"

Thorne looked in the direction of the sound and was shocked, his eyes widening in surprise.

"Holy crap! Hatsune Miku... oh no, I mean Heydrich!"

A group of people wearing overcoats approached the cinema, one hand tucked inside their coats. It wasn't too late; there were still quite a few people inside. A movie had just ended, and Dodman and Hannah were about to come out.

"Sir, which ticket would you like to buy?" the ticket seller at the door asked politely.

"Sorry, I didn't come to see the movie." The man gave a strange smile.

Suddenly, the theater lights were cut off, plunging the theater into complete darkness.

The man pulled out a submachine gun from his pocket and fired into the air. The others received the signal and began rushing into the house.

"Excuse me, miss, we need to requisition this movie theater."

Thorne was still looking at Heydrich. "Good heavens, how did we run into him? He must have overheard something."

Thorne doesn't want too many people to know about his current plans yet. After all, too many people can easily lead to trouble, and this guy is known as the "Blonde Beast" in his timeline. It wouldn't be fun if something went wrong while chatting with him.

Just then, as he was asking Thorne, gunshots rang out from behind.

"What happened?" Thorne took the opportunity to stand up.

He smiled at Heydrich and said, "Sorry, it seems something happened up ahead. Let's talk again another time." With that, he led Fred and the other man away.

"interesting."

Heydrich watched Thorne walk away. It seemed this man truly had a story to tell. He had just noticed the pattern on Thorne's collar—the royal insignia of the Kingdom of the Rhine—and overheard his talk about special forces and intelligence organizations. He concluded that Thorne must be no ordinary member of the royal family; what ordinary member of the royal family would dare to engage in such activities?

Heydrich was capable, but no one appreciated him. He wanted to find someone in a high position who could appreciate his abilities so that he could gain more power and prove his worth!

"What happened?" Thorne ran ahead and asked a policeman on guard.

"It's the Unity of Germany party again. They're demanding that we release the members who are being held in prison, or they'll kill the hostages inside."

"Unity of Germany?" Thorne frowned, thinking for a moment, then seemed to vaguely remember it. This organization had been around for a long time, probably several decades.

This organization is mainly composed of Prussian extremists who consider the Kingdom of Prussia the legitimate successor and believe that Germany did not achieve complete unification during the unification wars. They also believe that the Kingdoms of the Rhine and Bavaria, considered illegitimate kingdoms, still exist, and they are keen on assassinating members of the royal families of these two countries.

Anyone could guess that this organization must have some connection with the Kingdom of Prussia, otherwise how could it have existed for so long? However, the Kingdom of Prussia has already denied this, stating that the organization has absolutely no connection to them and that it's all slander and mudslinging. The Kingdom of Prussia is as close as brothers with the other two kingdoms! How could they slander someone's innocence out of thin air!

However, this organization wasn't very influential; they only conducted small-scale operations and didn't cause much of a stir. But recently, for some reason, their operations have become more frequent and their equipment has improved over the past few years. Although the police have arrested quite a few people, they are all small fry and can't catch the big fish at all.

The group that hijacked the cinema consisted of eight people, and they were well-equipped, with four of them carrying submachine guns.

They had clearly planned this for a long time, not only figuring out the interior layout of the cinema but also cutting off the power in advance and quickly taking control of the people trapped inside.

"Fred, now I'll show you what special operations are all about."

Thorne walked up to the sheriff, who was in a terrible predicament. "I am Nicholas von Thorne, a prince of the Kingdom of Rhine. I think I can offer you some assistance."

Chapter Thirty-Four: Special Operations

Felix, masked, looked at the police who were under martial law. He pointed his submachine gun at the head of the salesperson in front of him.

"Immediately release the members of the Unity German Party imprisoned here. Our patience has its limits. If you haven't released our people by 10 PM, then everyone in this theater will disappear from the face of the earth!"

Hearing the kidnappers' words, Inspector Eric felt a headache coming on. This was the first time he had ever encountered a hostage situation like this. Had there ever been a case like this in all of Germany? If he didn't handle this terrorist attack properly, being fired would be the least of his worries. If there were any casualties, he might be torn apart alive by the victims' families.

Just as he was wondering what to do, Thorne walked over.

“Hello, I am Nicholas von Thorne, a prince of the Kingdom of Rhine. I think I can offer you some assistance.”

Eric glanced at Thorne, clearly not quite believing him. Thorne, seeing his expression, understood and produced the royal crest of the Kingdom of Rhine. Surely that would convince him now?

Sure enough, Eric quickly bowed upon seeing the emblem.

"Hello, Your Highness."

"What's the specific situation here?" Thorne asked directly, getting straight to the point.

"It's the German Unity Party again! This time they even hijacked the cinema! What a bunch of scoundrels!" Inspector Eric cursed angrily.

"What is their purpose?" Thorne continued to ask. These people came to the movie theater instead of directly killing people, so they must have come with a purpose.

"Damn it, they demanded we release our accomplices who are imprisoned. Those bastards, they actually did something so extreme!"

"Release their accomplices?" Thorne frowned. "How long will those accomplices be imprisoned?"

"Only two years! These people are just small fry! My God, I'm ready to let them go!"

Is it really necessary to make such a big fuss over just two years of imprisonment? Thorne felt it wasn't that simple.

Something's not right. There must be some important person among these detainees, and they must have some other conspiracy to carry out immediately, otherwise they wouldn't be in such a hurry.

“Sheriff Eric, I must remind you, you are a police officer, you cannot compromise with evil so easily. If you release those people today, they will dare to hijack the government building tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow they will dare to storm the police station. The police profession is sacred, it is to fight crime, to protect all the people, it is pure, and there can be no compromise.”

“Sir, I’m in charge here now. This isn’t a typical terrorist attack, and the police alone can’t handle it.”

He handed the insignia to the sheriff. “Sheriff, we need the help of the regular army. Send someone to contact the nearby garrison. We need a few snipers at nearby high points, and some skilled soldiers. Remember to tell them not to wear military uniforms, but to come in ordinary clothes. Also, find a few psychologists to talk to these robbers and calm them down.”

"this......"

Sheriff Eric hesitated, "There's no time. I'll take responsibility if anything happens!" Thorne interrupted him, reaching out his hand. Time was of the essence now.

Soon a large contingent of soldiers assembled and arrived.

"Which of you is the sniper?" Thorne asked the soldiers.

"Reporting, Your Highness, we are!" A man who looked like an officer saluted. "Your Highness, rest assured, we are all veterans who have fought in major battles, and we can trust you."

"very good."

Thorne pointed to the tall buildings in the distance, "You guys find sniping positions on those buildings. Just in case anything unexpected happens, you guys can take action!"

"Yes!"

Thorne then looked at the other soldiers, “You few who are disguised as family members of the hostages, go to the sheriff’s office and find a suitable opportunity to subdue the kidnappers.”

"Is anyone better at fighting?" Thorne asked the remaining soldiers.

A sergeant stepped forward and reported, "Your Highness, Eichendorf requests permission to go into battle!"

He was also a World War I veteran who fought almost the entire Western Front and participated in all the fierce battles.

"Very good, you'll play the ticket seller's father and go over there to switch places with her!"

Having laid out the battle plan, Thorne began to act, taking Thomas and Fred to the side.

"Now that we've changed our clothes, it's time for us to get started."

Thorne had already learned that there was a secret passage outside the cinema that led straight to the innermost part, and that they would break through from there.

"What kind of equipment is this?" Fred looked at the weapons in the box in shock. Thorne had dug these out of the treasure chest, and it had taken him a lot of effort.

Night vision goggles, bulletproof vest, wireless communication headset, and even an MP5 anti-terrorism weapon.

"Hey, don't just stand there, get dressed quickly, we're going in to rescue them." Thorne, having finished dressing, patted the two stunned men on the shoulder.

The group quickly realized what was happening and got dressed. Thorne explained how to use the weapons and equipment before heading into the secret passage.

"Oh, Julia, oh, please let her go!" the officer, disguised as the ticket seller's father, cried desperately to Felix.

The robber pointed a gun at him, and the ticket seller shouted in unison, "Oh, Daddy, save me!"

"Please, let her go, I'll take her place!" the officer pleaded with Felix.

“Hey sir, do you think it’s right to kidnap a woman? You can’t abandon your gentlemanly manners.” The psychologist in front of them also began to persuade him.

Felix hesitated for a moment, then shoved the ticket seller forward. "Hey, you come here. Let's tell you not to try anything funny. You still have an hour! If you don't release our brothers soon, don't blame us!"

"Safe, keep going!" Thorne directed the two to slowly move forward. There were eight people involved in this terrorist attack; three were standing at the door, two were in the corridor, and the whereabouts of the remaining three were unknown.

"Fred, pull the switch off the hallway lights."

"receive."

Fred received orders to bring up night vision goggles and pull the power switch on the corridor, plunging it into complete darkness.

"What's going on?" The two robbers standing guard in the corridor became alert and raised their guns in warning.

"The circuit breaker must be malfunctioning. Damn it, why did they cut the power!" one of the robbers cursed.

"Brighton, go up and see if it can be restored."

Brighton, gun in hand, walked toward the corner of the corridor.

"Do it!"

Fred covered Brighton's mouth with his hand and plunged a knife into his throat.

Brighton struggled for a moment, then quickly fell silent.

"Brighton? Brighton? Damn it, this is no time for jokes!"

David carefully walked forward, gun in hand, his eyes wide open, groping cautiously in the darkness.

"Hey, Brighton, what are you doing?" David saw Brighton standing in front of the power switch, exhaled, and put down the submachine gun in his hand.

"Damn it, what are you talking about now!" He walked over and slapped Brighton, who then fell to the ground with a thud.

David was startled and was about to shout when he was knocked down with a rifle butt and his mouth was gagged. Thorne and Thomas dragged him into a nearby room.

As soon as he pushed open the door, Thorne was suddenly knocked down. "Damn it, there's an ambush!" He was about to pull out his dagger when Thomas quickly stopped him.

“Hey, Dudman, it’s us.” Dudman glanced at Thorne on the ground and quickly let go.

"Oh, I'm sorry, Your Highness."

The theater lights suddenly went out, and Dudman, hearing gunshots outside, knew something was wrong and took Hannah to hide. Who knew Thorne and his men would show up?

"Dudman, what's the situation inside?"

"Your Highness, the hostages have been gathered in a room, where three kidnappers are watching over them."

"Ah, very good."

Thorne looked at David, who was tied up, and then injected him with a syringe.

"Take off his clothes, Dodman, you put them on!"

"Good heavens, he's taking off your clothes again?" Everyone stared at Thorne with wide eyes. Besides, nobody would believe you don't have any fetishes!

After Dudman changed into the robber's clothes, Thorne looked at Hannah and said, "I'm sorry to trouble you."

Thorne instructed Dudman to pose as a robber, pretending to have captured Hannah, to lure the robbers in the theater to the doorway and capture them all.

"Snapped"

The door to the movie theater box was opened, and Dudman led Hannah to the door and pointed his gun at her.
