Chapter 284: Nemesis

Fang Raon and Chaewon went to the back alleyway to talk in private while the rest stayed over at the bar.

"...So that’s the guy."

Aella said as she watched in the direction of the alleyway, wishing that she had super hearing so she could hear what they were talking about.

Kevin had his arms crossed, a conflicted look in his eyes, as he obviously had a huge crush on Chaewon.

Marina looked silently at Kevin.

She was happy that Chaewon’s boyfriend came over so that Kevin could finally give up on her, and she was hoping whole-heartedly that would happen.

In that moment.

Bobby looked over at Anna, who was pouting silently near the table, looking really pissed-off.

’Wow, she is another beauty.’

Bobby thought with a slight blush spreading across his cheeks, and then he cleared his throat and asked.

"E-Excuse me, miss... Who are you to Raon?"

He asked curiously.

"...Little sister."

Anna glanced at him briefly and gave a quick and cold response, seeming very distant as if she didn’t want anything to do with them.

In that moment, Aella connected some of the dots.

"Chaewon’s boyfriend is Fang Raon, and since you are his sister... could you possibly be Fang Anna from that Tower Announcement?"

She asked with a look of surprise.

The members of the party remembered the time when that Tower Announcement flashed across the skies.

Chaewon had immediately pointed towards the sky and shouted, "Look, that’s my boyfriend!" with a look of pride.

They thought that her boyfriend was over at the 12th floor, so it was surprising for them that he was over at floor 2.

At first, they thought that they must’ve died, so Chaewon sent him a message to know what’s up, and Raon revealed that he was playing on a second character.

They didn’t know who Fang Anna was and only knew the name from the Tower Announcement.

"...That’s correct."

Anna said coldly.

However, even her stone heart slightly cracked at the sight of Aella’s cute expression, as she seemed like a cute kitten.

During all of this, over at the back alleyway.

"I missed you..."

Chaewon hugged Raon tightly, as if she never wanted to let go of him, and pressed her breasts hard against his chest.

She noticed that his body had become harder. More defined. Tougher. It seemed like he’d been training hard!

It had become more visible, especially around his arms and collarbones that showed through his shirt.

"Mm, same."

Fang Raon gently caressed Chaewon’s cheek and noticed how her beautiful pale skin turned slightly pinkish.

She turned her head slightly, revealing a shy smile that made his heart skip a beat, and she looked like she was enjoying his touch greatly.

Like a cat enjoying the patting.

When Raon looked at her expression, he felt his heart start racing even faster and felt his body getting warm.

The mood was getting dangerous.

"Ahem... What are your plans now?"

He asked.

"I don’t know... With you here, things changed... I’d like to join you until we’ve reached the 12th floor."

Chaewon said.

"Mm, I’ll talk to Anna."

Fang Raon said.

"Will she be fine with it? She doesn’t seem happy to see me."

Chaewon chuckled.

She wasn’t happy either that her boyfriend was hanging out with that sister of his, as she had bad vibes about her.

"I’ll convince her. We were planning to head over to the villa of hers. You and your friends can join us."

Fang Raon said.

"Wow, a villa. Fancy~"

Chaewon giggled, and she then wrapped her arms around Raon’s neck and pulled him close for a kiss.

Their lips pressed together, and Chaewon pushed her tongue into his mouth, and their tongues danced together in a passionate embrace.

Creak~! At that moment, the back door of the beachside villa opened, and a worker of the bar walked out with a garbage bag in hand.

He noticed the kissing couple, felt embarrassed, and scratched his head as he walked for the dumpster.

Raon pulled out of the kiss while Chaewon’s eyes looked unfocused with a deep blush staining her cheeks.

She was chasing after the kiss, ignoring the fact that there was someone watching them, as she didn’t want to stop.

"Let’s continue this later, yeah?"

Fang Raon said with a smile, his heart threatening to break out of his chest, and Chaewon let out a meek "yes" as she tried to catch her breath.

They gathered their bearings and left the alleyway and noticed that everyone was still over at the bar.

"Brother, let’s go already."

Anna immediately said when she saw the two of them return.

"Anna, Chaewon told me that they don’t have a place to stay. Why don’t we bring them along to the villa? That place has more than enough rooms for everyone, doesn’t it?"

Fang Raon asked.

"Fuck no. They can all just log off and sleep in their warm beds in the REAL WORLD!"

Anna shouted.

"Excuse me, my dear. Let me talk with her."

Chaewon gently touched Raon’s arm and then walked past him and stopped before the pissed-off-looking Anna.

"Long time no see, Miss Fang."

Chaewon said with a fake smile.

"Yes, indeed, Miss Song."

Anna replied with an even faker smile.

It felt like invisible lightning sparks were crackling between the two women as they exchanged pleasantries.

"I need a drink."

Fang Raon said, as he thought that this was going to be a long night, and he went to the bar counter and ordered just something cold.

"I’d like to be with my boyfriend, whom I haven’t seen for quite some time. You’d rather have him come to your villa than go with me somewhere else, right?"

Chaewon asked with a smile.

"My brother and I are leaving for the 7th floor already. Sorry to ruin your life, but we don’t have time for... baggage."

Anna said with a cold smile.

"We are?"

Fang Raon asked in surprise.

"YES!"

Anna shouted.

"Don’t be silly. My BOYFRIEND is not going anywhere with you. You can go by yourself if that’s what you desire."

Chaewon said with a cold smile.

"...Raon, have you forgotten about our promise?"

Anna asked coldly.

When Chaewon mentioned "boyfriend" constantly, it pissed her off royally, and she just wanted to rip that smug expression off her face!

"Should I mention the details of our promise to her?"

Anna said with a cold smile.

"I’ve already told her. I don’t keep secrets from her. I also expected you to use it as blackmail material one day, so I acted before that happened."

Fang Raon said, lifted his cup of drink, and drank it down.

Anna’s eyes shook.

"Yes, he told me all about that... arranged marriage of his. I appreciate you helping him out with that. But as far as I know, you didn’t complete the task fully, didn’t you?"

Chaewon said.

"...What do you mean?"

Anna asked.

"He is still stuck in that arranged marriage of his. Just to a different woman. Thus, did you really complete the task?"

Chaewon asked.

"That wasn’t part of the deal. I dealt with that Juniper girl. That was the deal."

Anna said angrily.

"From what I understood, you had to ruin the arranged marriage for him, which you really didn’t... you only half-completed it.

"So... that promise between you, well... I personally don’t think he should keep his end of the deal, but since my boyfriend is so kind, he is still going through it.

"Be grateful."

Chaewon said.

"TCH!"

Anna clicked her tongue angrily, and she clenched her fists tightly together, almost ready to explode.

The party, sitting around the table, was awkwardly looking at the scene that was straight from a drama TV show!

"I want Chaewon and her friends to join our party, Anna."

Fang Raon said.

"Absolutely not!"

Anna screeched.

"...Only until the 12th floor. After that, we continue, just you and me."

Fang Raon said.

"Raon is staying over on the 12th floor with his main account, so I’ll just link up with him there. I won’t go with you guys all the way wherever you are headed.

"If you try to stop us from meeting now, Raon won’t go anywhere with you anymore, so you can just suffer through my presence for the next couple of floors and then go back to your previous arrangement.

"It’s not a big deal, right?"

Chaewon said.

Anna hadn’t felt this amount of anger in a long time. She felt like she was the bad guy. She wanted to scream and yell at Chaewon.

She showed a cold smile.

"Fine..."

Those words came out after great struggle, as if she didn’t want to speak those words with her entire being.

"Yay."

Chaewon clapped her hands, and then she grabbed Raon from his hand and said to her friends, "Let’s go."

Her friends awkwardly nodded their heads and stood up and followed right behind the pissed-off-looking Anna.

They were wondering what the background was between Anna and Chaewon, as they felt like cats and dogs.

They were each other’s nemesis.
